앨범소개	[ABOUT THE AMA-C’s MUSIC]ﾠ 전통성악과 연희를 전공한 세 명의 여성으로 이루어진 아마씨. 아마씨는 노래를 한다. 그들의 노래는 손수 사려 감아 쓴 시들을 수 없이 읊조리다 절실해진 것이다. 노래에 담긴 장단도 선율도 그들의 시선과 감상이 담긴 시어(詩語)들의 말법과 이면을 살리는데 철저히 힘을 모은다. 전통적인 음악어법이나 형식에 의지하여 노래를 얹은 것이 아니라 사무치게 부르고픈 노래에 그들이 공부해온 전통을 녹여낸 것이다. 노래의 반주는 그저 타악 뿐이다. 그래서 오히려 시는 더욱 뚜렷해지고, 노래는 듣는 이의 가슴에 더욱 긴 울림을 남긴다. 또한 그들의 노래에는 이 시대를 살아가는 여성으로서의 시각이 담겨 있어 참 소중하다. 아마씨의 음악은 진정 새롭고 진정 반갑다. 김동원_원광디지털대학교 교수 AMA-C is composed of three women who studied Korean traditional voice and performance. Their songs came about after much reciting of their poems that they have written themselves. The rhythm and the melody of the songs focus on enhancing the expression and the underlying meaning of the poetry that reveal their sensibility and vision. That is, rather than taking the conventional method of applying the musical language or form to the song, their musical art is imbued with the Korean musical tradition in the songs they sing with all their heart. But the percussive instruments are all that they play. That is the reason the poems become even more lucid and leave a deep and long resonance in the listener. Moreover, what makes their music special is that it also contains the viewpoint of the women from this era. Their music is truly refreshing and aesthetically pleasing. Once men left home to carry on an independence movement for years, all responsibility belonged to women completely. If their husbands had got arrested and been put in jail, women had to supply their husbands. Like this, the independence movement needed hard effort and sacrifice of women. But the name of female fighters for independence didn’t remain anywhere and their independence movement didn’t come into the spotlight in Korean history.)
